  • Making the difference from the starting point: Sales Intern

 

"I got my chance with Cốc Cốc through a reference from a friend. At that time, there was a Sales Internship course, which was opened by Cốc Cốc for the purpose of training young talents, who were interested in business and wanted to be "forge by the fire" of the Digital Marketing industry (at that time, the industry was still very new). The opportunity made me very interested: firstly, because it was suitable for me: having the passion, studying in the right field - Business Administration; secondly, because Cốc Cốc has a young, dynamic environment, and it’s a company trusted by many talents. So, there's no reason for me to refuse to come here and try my best at it.

 

Seized the opportunity, I joined the second course of the Internship at Cốc Cốc, with 20 to 25 trainees in the same class with me. But, as a recently graduated student, I still had many curious questions about Cốc Cốc, such as:
- How does Cốc Cốc generate revenue through their Search Engine?
- Which type of customer is suitable for Cốc Cốc?
- How can I approach Cốc Cốc’s customers?
- …

 

After a month of training, I gradually understood what needs to be done. There are many experiences that I can not forget, like inviting customers directly to use Cốc Cốc’s products. At that time, the number of Cốc Cốc customers was not that big (They often mistook us for mug dealers sometimes - “Cốc” is “mug”, in Vietnamese), so my fellow trainees and I had to walk our way into every single store on Ba Trieu, Xa Dan, Xuan Thuy,... Back then, each time I rode across those streets, and saw a store with a website on its billboard, I used to stop and write down the information. That task was so hard, so when our first contract was signed, which is only valued at 5 million VND, my friends and I were absolutely happy about it!

 

That memory was one of my bests, and the feeling I felt at that time is my biggest motivation, forcing me to “fight harder” to become an official member of one of the best Technology companies in Vietnam."

 

 

  • Continuous improving and honing skills to conquer challenges

 

"I’m glad that I have the best opportunity to grow at Cốc Cốc. Each time my boss trusts me to handle a new position, that’s a time I feel proud because my boss highly appreciates my capability. However, handling a new position also comes with new big pressure. I remember one time when the promotion actually came, I couldn’t imagine it would come that fast. That’s when Ms. Oanh, my boss, promoted me to become Sales Manager. From a Junior Salesman to a Senior, to follow the correct path of promotion, you will only need to acquire skills and finish weekly, monthly KPIs. But to become a Sales Manager from a Senior Manager, it’s totally different.

 

To fulfill your duties as a Sales Manager, I would need an improvement. Taking on a management position is like a new step in a career when you mature, and now setting goals isn’t for an individual anymore, but is for a whole team. All members will have to strive for the best, and I must become a role model for all of my members. Besides, my work is also more on the strategic side, and the goal must be clear for the whole team so each member will clearly understand their work and reach the KPIs on time with sufficient quantity.

 

Fortunately, learning “under the wings” of Ms. Oanh, getting advice from her on management tasks that I hadn’t mastered yet, and getting advice from colleagues in many positions, I gradually fulfilled my duties and gained my own achievements. And now, one of my biggest, it’s the achievement of becoming the Industry Director, for Pharmacy & Travel.

 

For years, working and sticking with Cốc Cốc, I have always considered the company my second home. In addition to the achievements I’ve achieved, thanks to the favorable environment and the support of Cốc Cốc members, there is another "Fun fact": I fell in love with a colleague, a fellow Intern of mine at that time, and have created a “home” for myself. Therefore, my goal is always here, at Cốc Cốc for as long as possible, helping the company become the leading technology company in Vietnam. And to do that, I will grow more, complete more assigned tasks, and give 200% of my ability every day, contributing to the growth of Cốc Cốc."
